I am an interspiritual minister ordained through the One Spirit Learning Alliance. Although I draw from many spiritual traditions, I align most closely with earth-based spirituality and mysticism. Antiracism and decolonization are at the center of the work I do. I believe that we cannot be effective spiritual leaders if we are not actively working through the impacts of colonialism that live within us. I also believe that work is most effective when it’s done in community.
I am interested in exploring these questions through my ministry: How can we make meaning and build beloved communities outside of the institutions that have been historically harmful? How can we heal from the past and build something new that is liberating? What kinds of ceremonies and rituals can we create that honor all the moments in an individual's and a community’s life? How can we remember our indigenous roots while imagining new futures?
I love creating ceremonies, art, and connections. I also love working with tarot and oracle cards, taking walks or bike rides, and being with nature.
I live in Silver Spring, Maryland on Piscataway land with my partner and our three cats.

Eugene (he/him) is an ordained minister with over 25 years of experience in local church ministry. However, recognizing the need to rethink traditional models, he discerned the need to step beyond the familiar in order to reimagine how we do “church” from the ground up. In 2020, Eugene left his pastoral role and founded New Wine Collective — a church innovation think tank and R&D lab developing new technologies to facilitate self-organized spiritual conversations and community.
Since founding New Wine Collective, Eugene has been learning, ideating, and convening conversations about the evolving spiritual landscape and future of the Church. He serves as Executive Director of the Wild Fig Network, an emerging post-denominational network for inclusive and justice-oriented Christian ministers and ministries, and Event Director of Soularize, an in-person gathering for spiritual innovators and changemakers. He also speaks, facilitates, and consults with churches and organizations exploring change and innovation. Eugene’s passions lie in systemic change and designing new ways of being the Church that can help heal the world and give everyone a place to belong.
Leslie Mulder is an Organization Development consultant and coach who helps organizations turn purpose into practice through leadership development, strategy design and activation, and board effectiveness. She works across small to mid-sized businesses, social enterprises, nonprofits, professional firms, universities, and faith communities to build learning cultures that align how people work with why they work. Grounded in an M.A. in Counseling and an M.S. in Organization Development, she brings extensive experience in facilitation and individual/team coaching. Her graduate research on organization change in U.S. Protestant churches informs her partnership with congregations to build trauma-responsive, resilient ministries - guiding participative visioning and planning while strengthening conflict management, shared decision-making, work design, and governance. Leslie co-chaired the Trauma Responsive Church initiative at Love First UMC in Sartell, Minnesota (2018-2021). She lives in Sartell, Minnesota, and enjoys music, family, and community connection.
Sawyer Tracy is a protagonist of economic and spiritual transformation and is set on creating a livable future for all creation. At Wisdom & Money, she works on transformation of the heart so that money can flow through people freely.
Based in Minneapolis, Sawyer works at the intersections of spirituality, law, and finance. She has spent her career working on issues of global inequality. She enjoys supporting people to listen deeper–to themselves and others–in pursuit of their true calling as a facilitator, strategist, mediator, and friend. Her formal education has been through Underground Seminary, Suffolk University Law School, Still Harbor, and Wellesley College. She is a licensed attorney in the state of Minnesota. All this formal education aside, her greatest teachers are love, trees, songs, and humans being.
I have spent the last ten years developing programs that allow congregants to explore different aspects of their Jewish identity. I use a combination of psychosocial exercises, guided meditations, and spiritual oriented questionnaires to facilitate my group sessions. Mariel is a full-time lecturer and fellow at the Stanford Life Design Lab, where she works in support of more whole, expressive, and beautifully designed lives. She is eternally curious about designing the future of interfaith and non-denominational spiritual communities, and creating technologies and experiences that deepen (not replace) our embodied wisdom. She is a steward of Stanford's "Designing Your Spiritual Life" project, a living exploration of design thinking as a tool for spiritual pedagogy and supporting spiritually-yearning-but-not-religious students.
Her work is informed by her eclectic background, and experiences ranging from training as a Buddhist monastic to living in pallet racks off-grid with artists and anarchists.

Blending extensive corporate communication experience with a commitment to personal and communal transformation, I'm a professionally certified coach (ICF) with expertise in trauma-informed, body-oriented, and neuro-affirming coaching. My work also draws from more than a decade of supporting parishes and communities in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh during the clergy abuse crisis—an experience that continues to shape my approach to trauma, truth-telling, and leadership under moral pressure.
A former Duquesne University professor with a PhD in interpersonal, organizational, and ethical communication, I've written two books and numerous articles on relational ethics, community resilience, and transformational crisis leadership. My work has been honored with the 2017 Book of the Year Award from the Religious Communication Association and the two highest awards from the Pennsylvania Communication Association for both my research and my teaching.

I was COO of Sunday Assembly from 2016-7, and co-founded Common Ground sacred reading pilgrimages with Vanessa Zoltan in 2018. I have been Chief Officer of the UK Unitarian movement since 2019.
I'm a theologian and spiritual innovator bridging ancient wisdom traditions with embodied Catholic practice. With a Master of Divinity (the same degree as Catholic priests) and 600+ hours of training in yoga, Ayurveda, reiki, and behavioral science, I create faith-integrated wellness for women ready to honor both their humanity and divinity.

Dr. Thekla Ross is a clinical psychologist, national leader in addiction medicine, and trusted advisor at the intersection of mental health, technology, and human connection. For more than two decades, she has helped reshape the fields of behavioral health and healthcare operations through evidence-based practice, compassion-driven leadership, and innovative harm reduction strategies.
She spent 14 years at Kaiser Permanente, where she directed national addiction operations and research, spearheaded the organization’s Harm Reduction Strategy, and co-created a nationwide initiative to support the psychological well-being of healthcare professionals during the pandemic. In addition to her health system leadership, she has served as a strategic advisor to the NIH and guided tech companies in guiding us back to human connection
An experienced communicator and educator, Dr. Ross has taught self-compassion and clinical communication skills to medical students, physicians, executives, and community leaders in the U.S. and abroad. Her teaching spans programs at the University of Colorado, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Hazelden Betty Ford, among others.
Today, she is widely recognized as a leading voice on digital harm reduction and self-compassion in the age of social media. She also serves on the board of a public art and sculpture garden on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Michelle A. Scheidt is a senior program officer at the Fetzer Institute in Kalamazoo, Michigan, working towards Fetzer’s mission of helping build the spiritual foundation for a loving world. Her portfolio includes projects related to emerging forms of spirituality, working with diverse spiritual leaders to build the nascent field of spiritual innovation. Michelle’s research interests include the spiritual infrastructure of the future, LGBTQIA+ spirituality, and how spiritual seekers who are not religiously affiliated connect with religious and ancestral traditions. She previously served as a nonprofit administrator managing community-based programming in Chicago with Metropolitan Family Services and the Claretian Missionaries. Her background includes group facilitation, program development, strategic planning, and nonprofit boards. She has worked as a pastoral minister and has experience with facilitating retreats, leadership of worship, and hospital chaplaincy. Michelle has a Doctorate in Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary; MA in Pastoral Studies from Catholic Theological Union; and BA in English from Marian University. I bring spirit into places where it is rarely spoken of but deeply needed. My work is with growth-mode companies, often in emerging technologies that are reshaping how our world operates. In boardrooms, strategy sessions, and financial systems, conversations about spirit are usually absent. That is where I stand, bringing truth, love, kindness, and respect into spaces built on speed, scale, and disruption.
I honor sacred truths without compromise. I believe the only way to bring spirit into the systems shaping our future is to be fully present within them. Each day I engage leaders who may not be thinking about spirit, yet who feel its presence when it is carried with clarity and strength.
I do not separate business from the sacred. Every decision and every interaction is an opportunity to invite higher awareness and deeper connection. This is not theory. It is lived practice, woven into how I advise, lead, and collaborate.
I do not yet know exactly where this work will lead, only that it is my contribution. To me, this is spiritual innovation: spirit meeting the systems of change, quietly and powerfully shifting what becomes possible.

Former Dean and Professor Laura Burney Nissen is from the Portland State University School of Social Work. With a commitment to innovative and equity-centered systems change, Laura has worked with futures practice and lenses throughout her career in a variety of transdisciplinary settings. She is in the a foresight practitioner and a Research Fellow with the Institute for the Future and has served as a Presidential Futures Fellow at PSU 2019-2022. She has been PI on a two-year grant to convene first of its kind national Social Work Health Futures Lab from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She has a new book with Oxford University Press entitled “Anticipatory Social Work: Foresight Approaches and Tools for Social Imagining and Collective Praxis” which is just out now. Her commitment is to challenge social work and social workers to think beyond the traps of “short-termism” and participate in co-creating the world we want. The mission of Clown Spirit is to integrate clowning into everyday life as a vital force for healing through awakening joy, truth and connection. The clown is a way for each of us to connect deeply with our own vulnerable and ridiculous humanity, the flaws and contradictions of the modern world, and the sacred power of truth telling. At Clown Spirit village we provide opportunities to connect with other clowns, to learn about the history, culture and technique of clowning, and to explore and express your own inner clown.
Numadelic Labs is a nonprofit research and creative hub dedicated to developing and ethically applying transformative technologies that support human flourishing through Awareness, Connection, and Insight. The term numadelic - meaning “spirit-manifesting” or “spirit-revealing” - reflects our commitment to designing experiences that expand conscious awareness and evoke a sense of belonging to something greater than oneself.
Working at the intersection of neuroscience, immersive technology, contemplative practice, and art, we seed and support the creation of tools and environments that foster healing, relational depth, and spiritual growth. Our current initiatives include XR-assisted group therapy for social anxiety and end-of-life distress, numadelic VR protocols to enhance lucid dreaming, and a compassion training platform inspired by the Buddhist practice of Tonglen.
While numadelics were originally conceived as VR experiences, we are also exploring non-VR modalities that evoke similar states of presence and insight. Lower Lights is a 501 (c)(3 ) nonprofit community dedicated to supporting awakening and passionate engagement in the world. Through the integration of ancient wisdom and contemporary developmental psychology, we specialize in community-building and spiritual formation.
At Lower Lights, we believe there is a renaissance of consciousness on the Wasatch Front. We seek to fan the flames of this alchemical fire by supporting each person to come alive to their unique qualities through transformative practices and vibrant community.

What the Hispanic Scholars Program set out to achieve from its inception as the “Hispanic Summer Program” in 1989 was to supplement and enrich the theological and ministerial education being offered in seminaries and universities with academic courses and other programs directly addressing Latinx history, ministry and theology. As an ecumenical and inter-religious program, it seeks to heal the divisions in the Latinx community fueled by denominational and theological differences. As a Latinx program, the HSP tries to find ways to restore connections and build bridges between Latinx and non-Latinx communities, among others, by enhancing the awareness and appreciation that non-Latinx scholars, ministers, and administrators have of Latinx contributions to the past, present, and future of our religious institutions and our nation.With over fourteen programmatic offerings in the areas of education, professional development, mentorship, and public scholarship, the Hispanic Scholars Program empowers thousands of leaders annually with tools for serving the Latine community.
Uplift Kids is a lesson library and curriculum that helps families explore expansive spirituality and timeless values together using our approach, which combines modern science and ancient wisdom. We also offer family camps and parenting retreats.
The ZISL Model
The ZISL Model is built around four core concepts which are incorporated into everything we do: Spiritual Authenticity, Mindful Community Training, Co-Created Community, and Sustainable Living
Spiritual Authenticity is at the heart of our communities, deeply rooted in the Soto Zen tradition, and the Buddhist ideals of mindfulness, meditation, inquiry, and compassion. Our first community, Enso Village, was created with 10% of the housing available for retired Zen teachers who help provide a basis of Zen study and meditation to the programming on offer.
Each community has a full-time spiritual director who helps with Mindful Community training and assures the zen inspired authenticity and values integration. Each community also has a meditation hall and program director/meditation hall coordinator who helps program the space in terms of both educational and meditation offerings.
Mindful Community Training offers a way of approaching each other with compassion and mindfulness throughout all the ways we care for each other in our communities. Designed in partnership with the Zen Caregiving Project, our unique approach is provided in our training for staff but also available to all interested residents.
Co-created Community provides a constructive and participatory governance model for an intentional residential community. Our approach is inspired by over 50 years of community living in San Francisco Zen Center’s three campuses. We have developed a set of guiding principles that describe how we use interdisciplinary teams and consensus-building in the decision-making process to consider the people who will be affected by our choices. We recognize that our ability to live in accordance with our principles depends on the wellbeing of all of our resources— including people, land, buildings, finances and community agreements—and we collectively care for them with transparent, human-centered practices.

The Unique Self Institute advances a pioneering spiritual (human) framework that integrates enlightenment and evolution, science and spirit, East and West. The FJN is an international community devoted to making it easier for journalists to get the resources they need to source, pitch and produce stories on topics surrounding the mysteries of human experience, such as the nature of consciousness; the relationship between mind, body and spirit; the truth and purpose of faith and wisdom traditions; the science of spirituality; and the ‘big questions’ of life and the universe. Living Stories Sermons transforms the Sunday sermon into a shared act of storytelling and interpretation. Rooted in the Episcopal tradition yet adaptable across denominations, Living Stories combines lectionary-based scripts, tactile storytelling with wooden figures and underlays, and open-ended wondering questions to invite whole congregations—children, adults, and elders—into co-creating the sermon together.
Our mission is simple: to make proclamation participatory. Instead of one voice interpreting Scripture, Living Stories trusts that the Spirit speaks through many voices. The preacher becomes a facilitator, guiding conversation and weaving insights into a communal experience of God’s Word.
We create and share resources—scripts, guides, training materials—and support a growing network of preachers experimenting with this method in their own contexts. Already, more than 40 preachers in 19+ congregations have tried Living Stories, discovering that it deepens belonging, nurtures intergenerational connection, and brings Scripture alive in fresh ways.

Some years ago, a small group of friends recognized our need to slow down. Like many people, we felt overwhelmed by the speed of life and found little space for reflection. We created spaces where we could explore an important question we all shared: How are we going to be in the world?

Born from decades within high-performance sport and the recognition of its limits, our mission is to shift the paradigm: from medals to meaning, from extraction to regeneration, from spectacle to connection.
At its heart, the Gaia Games is both deeply ancient and radically new. The Collective Healing Lab is a soulful communal wellness initiative rooted in the Boise Treasure Valley. We draw on the ancestral wisdom of the village mindset to reimagine how people gather, heal, and flourish together. We translate many models of human wellness into communal programs, practices, and publications that ground people's sense of self in a community of earnest belonging and reciprocal care.
The Center for Transforming Engagement is a PNW-based nonprofit born out of The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. St. Lydia’s is a church that gathers to share a sacred meal, as the first followers of Jesus did. Simple unaccompanied music is sung, scripture explored, and prayers offered, all in the context of a home-cooked meal. Instead of trying to figure out what a shared orthodoxy (right beliefs) might be, Lydians are trying to find what a shared orthopraxy (right living) looks like. This offers a place of healing and growth, particularly for people seeking a faith or spiritual life but who have been harmed by the Church.

The Spiritual Direction Formation & Certification program at Meadville Lombard equips and forms lay leaders, ordained clergy, professional religious leaders, and spiritual seekers with the skills and orientations to be compassionate, creative, and certified spiritual directors.
At its heart, the program is grounded in hospitality (belonging), liberation (becoming), and sustainability (beyond). These values are embodied through deep, radical listening practices that reconnect people to their authentic selves and to the God—or holy mystery—of their understanding.

Shomer Collective envisions a world where end-of-life matters are spoken about openly, thoughtfully, and frequently, creating opportunities for many more people to engage with Jewish wisdom, values, and practices.
These conversations and experiences can be transformational, having an impact not only on the person who is dying but on whole family and community systems.
Shalom Quest endeavours to provide resources that will support people in the search for their own unique spiritual path. These resources will come in the form of professionally made 15-minute films around themes like ‘Spirituality’, ‘Community’, and ‘Wellbeing’. The films will also support conversation groups stimulating interaction with others as they think through how to respond. Also, we will be developing carefully crafted Apps to continue supporting participants as they journey forward exploring and experimenting with universal life-giving values day by day. There will be two other powerful resources to support Shalom Quest. The first will be our Inter-spirituality Circle, which will be made up of active participants from every expression of spiritual understanding, who will be free to speak into what we are doing, make suggestions, and be available for participants to talk to. They will also act as advisors to our other resource the ‘Living Values Project.’ This project will identify all known life-giving values, mapping them to show their inter-relationship to every other value, plus exploring how they are each understood in many different cultures. Finally, we call our project ‘Shalom Quest’ because in Hebrew ‘shalom’ is understood the be the source of every life-giving value.
The purpose of the San Francisco Contemplarium is to create space in our neighborhoods to honor the human journey. We offer regular neighborhood rituals, physical installations, and lay support for neighbors to dignify life’s joys, sorrows, and transitions with the respect and care they deserve. Our work is powered by community volunteers – the Neighborhood Flamekeepers – who continuously develop skills of presence, ritual, and accompaniment while supporting each other.
We focus on the neighborhood as the primary locus of belonging, piloting this approach in the greater Hayes Valley area with plans to expand throughout San Francisco.. Our participants span generations and backgrounds, reflecting our neighborhood’s diversity. Our vision is a city where everybody's humanity is honored through accessible spiritual infrastructure woven into the fabric of daily life.
The Jewish ritual of shiva can be incredibly powerful for mourners, but challenging to orchestrate. Too often, it falls on mourners to plan shiva for themselves, because many of us have lost our “shiva circle”—the close-knit village of friends, clergy, and acquaintances who, for millennia, would step in and organize any time there was a death in a Jewish family.
By removing the burden, Shiva Circle unlocks the power of shiva to help people feel held by Jewish tradition and community. We provide accessible resources; digital tools that make it easy for friends and family to organize shiva and to help; and volunteer Shiva Guides who support mourners in prioritizing their needs and creating a shiva experience that’s right for them.
Get involved by joining a Shiva Circle workshop where you will learn how to hold space for mourners with compassion and care. These live, interactive sessions are designed to empower you with a deep understanding of Jewish mourning rituals and practical guidance for supporting mourners.
Prairie Sky Counseling Center is reimagining what community-based mental health care can look like when rooted in creativity, cultural humility, and spiritual integration. Our mission is to ensure that healing is accessible to all—regardless of income, insurance, or background—through a collaborative model that embeds counselors in trusted community spaces such as nonprofits, arts organizations, and faith communities. This lowers barriers, reduces stigma, and meets people where they already gather.
