Buddhism Beyond Modernism (Rob Burbea)

Explore what spiritual innovation means to you by reflecting on different definitions and meeting other practitioners in the field. In this webinar, we offered our definition from Sacred Design Lab, and spotlighted alternative ideas from guests Rabbi Sara Luria, Executive Director at Beloved, and Brandon Vaidyanathan, Professor of Sociology at The Catholic University of America.

Join Sacred Design Lab co-founder Casper ter Kuile and sociologist Amy Traver speak in this interview with sociologist of religion Nancy Ammerman. Together, they discuss how best to understand Spiritual-But-Not-Religious people, the importance of community in spiritual life, what conditions make transcendence likely, and what Prof. Ammerman thinks is coming next in American religion.
