Former Roman Catholic priest guiding post-Catholic reconstruction with theological depth.
I’m a former Roman Catholic priest. I came out, left the Church, and began writing publicly, in real time, about what it actually takes to rebuild a life after that kind of rupture. That writing became Deconstructing Cleric, a newsletter for Catholics (and anyone formed by high-control religion) who are leaving, mourning what they’re losing, and trying to build a life that’s finally their own. Lately, I’m exploring how ritual, conscience, and belonging can survive the loss of the institution that first gave them to us. I’d love to connect with others tending people through religious transitions.
