Matt Goldstein (he/him) is an NYC-based choir director, educator, facilitator, vocal arranger, singer-songwriter, and improviser known for his heart-forward facilitation, emotive arrangements, and visionary leadership. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Gaia Music Collective, a collaborative music community that is achieving international recognition for its work in creating inclusive, accessible spaces for everyday folks to pursue musical expression & connection. Through Gaia, Matt has collaborated with artists like Leslie Odom Jr., Eric Whitacre, JoJo, and Imogen Heap, and partnered with institutions such as MoMA, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Google. Matt’s award-winning arrangements are sung by ensembles worldwide, and he’s been featured as an educator at national festivals such as BOSS and NACC. Beyond Gaia, he directs at A Cappella Academy, leads Rock Voices Brooklyn Heights, teaches improvisation through his studio Flow Labs, and performs globally with his international vocal improv trio, Ecca.
