Circe Moss MacDonald

Eco Chaplain and Water Priestess weaving ceremony, story, and soul.

I’m a working Water Priestess, Eco Chaplain, and ceremonial artist, devoted to the healing power of ceremony, creativity, and collective care during times of climate and societal collapse. My formation began with priestess and ministerial training at The StarHouse in Boulder, Colorado, a sacred site rooted in earth-honoring, Western Esoteric practice. That lineage remains a core thread in all I do.

I lead Ritual Lab, a mobile ministry for the spiritually independent, and serve as Spiritual Director at the Portland New Church Center for Sacred Arts. I also teach at the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine (ChIME), guiding students in Ceremony & Ritual, Creation Spirituality, and Goddess, God, and Goddex.

My work includes a monthly Cosmic Mass, seasonal rituals, weddings, memorials, labyrinth meditations, and community grief tending, offered on a sliding scale. I collaborate with Mayo Street Arts with shadow puppetry about eel migration stories, and bring sacred play into the public square through clowning at climate events like Sun Day.

My practice is rooted in animism, interspirituality, Deep Ecology, Goddess storytelling and the Work That Reconnects. I’m exploring how ceremony can nourish ecological belonging, sacred imagination, and collective resilience.
